If you’re in business for even more Battlefield 3 dog tags (who isn’t?), you can get a set of exclusive dog tags for your Battlefield 3 soldier by simply watching a trailer for the upcoming Navy Seal movie “Act of Valor”. You can watch the trailer here, and no, you cant skip to the end, you have to sit through the entire 3 minutes of it. We can confirm that the promotion works and includes about half a dozen dog tags.

If you want more dog tags, Dr. Pepper is running a promotion with EA where you can get some exclusive dog tags as well. Overall, Battlefield 3 has some 150 different dog tags available for players to unlock.

Thanks for the tip, Chris!

Dr. pepper battlefield 3
EA and Dr. Pepper have initiated a new Battlefield 3 promotion where gamers can get free in-game items such as dog tags, player skins and more from select EA Dr. Pepper bottles, which each include a code for an item. However, if you’re not a big soda drinker (or Dr. Pepper fan), you can still get some new dog tags and items from the Dr. Pepper site, but you have to register. The exclusive items include the dog tags seen above, a multiplayer skin, and a PlayStation Home avatar. The promotion ends on December 31. UPDATE: the promotion is for the US only, and it appears that a code is required even if you register on the site.

Thanks for the tip, Peter!

BF3 dog tag
We’ve been here before, we’ve seen a few pre-order bonuses, from Back to Karkand, to the infamous Physical Warfare pack, to a SpecAct pre-order bonus in Sweden. Now another one has been revealed, this time UK online retailer Play.com is offering a Battlefield 3 pre-order bonus in form of a code to download “5 exclusive dog tag designs to customize your soldier with”.

This seems like another minor pre-order bonus, something cosmetic like the SpectAct kit. We already know that Battlefield 3 will have a custom dog dag feature. So far the pre-order is limited to Play.com and the UK, but if the last few European bonuses are an indication of things to come, we can expect a variety of pre-order bonuses in the US, with major retailers such as GameStop, Best Buy, Target, Amazon, among others, each having something unique to offer.

Battlefield 3 dog tag

We’re at E3 and it sure is hectic here — we’ve checked out Battlefield 3 at EA’s press event, and we’ve got some new info regarding Battlefield 3: it appears the game will support a new feature where players can customize their dog tags — add signatures, etch their name and display some of their stats, as you can see on the teaser image above.

We’ll have a lot more on the new features in Battlefield 3 as E3 officially opens its doors tomorrow. Stay tuned!
