Vehicles have always been a huge part of the Battlefield franchise, and it’s no different with Battlefield 3, which features a wide selection of popular tanks, helicopters and jets. See the pages below for full details on the different vehicle classes, and finally, the vehicle unlocks.
what about the jeeps or civil cars?

They need more jets such as the F15 F16 and the Harrier.
i know, i wanted the harrier so bad, but you gotta realize that that would be pretty unbalanced as only the American side would have that plane and i dont think theres a Russian counter-part to the harrier…dont quote me on that tho.
The harrier is a universal jet. numerous countries around the world own it so it would not be surprising if the Russians had a few.

Harriers are a bit rubbish now, they are being replaced by the F35 the F35 also has Rolls Royce engines so its even better, like the mustang after the Rolls Royce Merlin
i think a Eurofighter or tornado would be good. Tornadoes are good. They could be in a “euroforces” expansion pack like in BF2 along with Challenger II, Mirages & Leopards

We do need F-15 AND F-16…However if you did happen to add these two awesome jets the F-15 is a two seated jet and would need a pilot and a gunner as seat two…..Please add in battlefield 3′s second map pack..
The F-15, in most versions, is a single seat jet. The F-15E is the only two-seater combat version. The B, D, and J models were two-seaters but were all trainer models.
What i want to know is why do these games ALWAYS leave out the artillery!? Where the hell is the mobile howitzer? or the MLRS?
would have been cool if they at least added the gaubitsa and the m115 howitzers

I think its safe to say the F18 will be in it, seeing that its been seen in the wallpapers. It looks like theres a jeep style vehicle in the wallpapers too. Plus the little bird helicopter is in one of the screenshots.

Props to Dice for incorporating the ”Little Bird” I think there should be a connection between an apache and a little bird cause thats how they work in real life, maybe one player can work as a buddy system to an apache, spotting targets that are more ”heavy” than just small arms that the lil bird could handle. if one player had access to both at once though then that seams like too much power for one player.
I believe the buddy system is more Apache & Kiowa even though that seems to be phased out. The little bird doesn’t have the recon equipment that the Kiowa does [or the longbow for that matter]
* I will like to see Carriers attack Ground Veicules and Buildings with cannons and with Tomawacks Missills. Subways # Subways, “Anti-Subways Boats” ( Don´t Remember the name), Anti-Tank ( Javelin ).

One question: where in the world did you get the confirmation of these vehicles being included? I won’t believe this until there is concrete evidence. Some of them are right, most are completely unreferenced.
I love to see allot of civil cars that you just can jump in to and some awesome vehicles like the ripsaw riptide and all the other special vehicles the twin brothers make on the program Howe and Howe on discovery channel

They should make a map out at sea with a few small islands, but then add aircraft carriers, battleships, subs, small boats and the 3 islands would have the M coms/ flags but ti would mostly be water and air space.

dont you think theres gonna be boats considering that a lot of the american forces start off in carriers? maybe im wrong and there will be just a bunch of helicopters on the carriers.
u know this is the marines not the navy right?? and plus battle field 3 mainly takes place near iraq and iran and if you look at a map ur not gonna have much water to put a massive aircraft carrier in the ocean near there. but if you wanted to u could always put one in a lake and get it stuck.

Yeah I guess you’re right. The Navy took no part in the Gulf Wars. There is no water around there….except for the entire Persian Gulf.

you shouldnt have to pick only one feature for vehicle upgrades, in real life its not like that… modern tanks have everything: ballistic computers and thermal sights, smoke canisters, reactive armor, additional mine resistant armor plating, and are equiped to protect the crew from chemical weapons if they are present. a coax gun and crosshairs just wont cut it.

Actually the original battlefield (desert combat) had Hummers, civilian vehicles in war torn cities or little villages. Which came in handy if your heli went down in the middle of no where or you had to eject from your jet before it blows up. The game also had certain maps with ships where a certain team would start off on the ships, the opposition on land. Carrier ships with Jets & Helis on board. It was awesome! also had battle ships, submarines and carrier boats to get you to land. you could sink ships with enough heli/bomber jet attacks. or land missles. We are not “noobs” we’ve been around long enough to play the originals and loved every second of it.
Everything was well balanced.. nothing over powered that couldn’t be destroyed with a little teamwork.
the originals were great but now we have people comeing from other games like CoD that I think would abuse that ability and just piss people off

Have look at map before? The Persian Gulf is right there under Iran and duh Iran and Iraq have naval forces somewhere.
So i was preordering Battlefield 3 at Gamestop.com, and i looked under product info and it was talking about the vehicles, and at one point it said Dominates Land, Air, and Sea vehicles or something along the line of that. SEA VEHICLES? In some of the pictures theres carriers, so im guessing theres going to be something like amphibious vehicles?

i think boats that could carry tanks, troops, supplies, etc would be awsome. on maps with aircraft carriers. i think this would be very helpful and really fun to drive. it would be really fun to drive a boat from an aircraft carrier loaded with troops or a tank and get to the shore and let them off. i hope they have this in the game

epic idea. beach landings ftw! also defenders would be given control of tow missiles or even guns that could fire at incoming ships from the sea.
Just imagine: jets spilling first blood overhead, vying for air supremacy, clearing the way for loaded heli’s full of eager soldiers all trusting their lives to their pilots to get them to the shore. Attack heli’s smashing into beach defences, clearing away as much as they can and drawing fire away from the boats carrying the troops, tanks and APC’s as they rush in to storm the beach.
defender’s tanks, troops, TOW emplacements and anti-air(maybe even beach guns) firing away trying to hit the enemy approaching from the sea and getting fire in return.

But this looks EXACTLY like bad company, I mean forgetting graphics and the engine. I’m pretty sick of these vehicles, starting to get annoyed with Russian APCs and Hummers. I would LOVE A NEW PLANE OR SOMETHING, not the jets I mean a player controlled AC-130 or bomber or SOMETHING.

Whoa guys I’m hearing some outrageous things… And I’m not talking about the original stuff I’m talking the Ac-130 and transport vehicles to move infantry and tanks. This is just not going to happen, for one there definitely won’t be an ac130 that takes balance right out of the game and it’s a bad idea, as for some the sea vehicles don’t even expect much maybe a patrol boat or something small the only thing I could possibly see is a carrier and that’s about it, man if they listened to every suggestion this game would have so many flaws.
