The Magpul PDW-R is an experimental personal defense weapon and is one of the new weapons in Battlefield 3. The PDW-R fires regular rifle rounds, giving it great range and accuracy compared to similar SMGs. The PDW-R is available for unlock to all classes in Battlefield 3.

Umm… It’s default mag size is 21, not 30, and it has a 3 round burst as well as full auto and semi.
This gun raped so much in the BETA…
But there was sooo many bugs with it (PS3):

Sometimes a full mag will be 21 bullets or 31 bullets?
If you guys think this is ugly then P90 would be “worse”

if you dont want 20 round mag dont use barrel attachment
use it like carbine, it is great

With no addons the mag size was 31, with it was 21.
Single and 3shot burst(added) and automatic was active in the beta.
It raped the UMP badly, will be fun trying it out again

The default mag size is 20! Not 21, the only reason there are 21 bullets is because when you first charge any weapon a bullet is loaded into the chamber. then you reload and you have your clip size of 20, with the extra 1 bullet in the chamber.
yah, it should be a raper. thats what MAGPUL designed. its a rifle round after all, not a pistol aka smg round. and if dice can change it to a 30 round Pmag that would be nice, since thats the mag shown in the weapon, and magpul makes them too. I think the m4 should sport the magpul pmag too, since they already sport VLtor stocks.

I just got lvl 31 and this is my next unlock
i’ve been killed loads of times by this weapon, but is it better than UMP-45 ??
Indeed this weapon is Awsome .. from the moment i tried out this weapon my killrate went up .. once you have the extended mags it’s ok .. don’t use the suppresor .. and this weapon is not that loud when fired. Personaly i used ump or p90 before in BF. But that is history after using this PDW
when is this available? or is it an add on
this gun is boss with the ext mag and holo
