BF3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
The M4A1 is the standard engineer carbine in Battlefield 3, and is available from the start as the main weapon, before any unlocks. The M4A1 was featured in previous Battlefield games, and now in Battlefield 3, can be customized in a number of ways with a number of unlocks. The M4A1 is great at medium and close ranges, but lacks the power over distance compared to regular rifles in Battlefield 3.

M4A1 does not have Burst fire.
The M4 does, which is basicly the M4A1 with burst fire, but unlocked in the later half of the engineer tree.
They made a mistake, it actually has a 31 round magasine
the magazine holds 30 and then one in the chamber. your mistaken

The m4 I thought it sucked with only 3round burst but 2 shots your dead so i love it .
I believe that Chuck Norris cried on my M4A1, then Bruce Lee blessed it, and then Joseph McCarthy forged the bullets, cuz my M4A1 has racked up 421 kills. For my M16A3, all of that occurred, but also John Wayne used it to kill a deer, then gave it to me.
On what class can you chose the m4a1 sorry but i write this with my mobil/cellphone sorry for the mistakes
