The G36C is a shortened version of the German G36 rifle, and is unlocked by the Engineer class in Battlefield 3. The G36C has a good balance between firepower, range and accuracy, making it versatile all-round weapon for the Engineer class. Which is also why the G36C is one of the last weapons to be unlocked in Battlefield 3.

And this is an outdated weapon system.
It’s only about 10-18 years old; it was first developed (and used) in the early-late 1990′s. On the other hand, the M16 was first developed in the mid-late 1950′s and first used in the 1960′s…pretty old, unless you count the M4, which was rolled out in 1994.

Heckler & Koch make the best weapons in the world. Too bad the PSG1 isn’t in the game. I also wish there were some H&K pistols to choose from as well.

Outdated? And whats about the M4/16?
I wish their would be the G36 E or K as an assault rifle as well, because they are much cooler
Awesome gun! Too bad the Assault class can’t use it.
