BF3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
The EOD bot in Battlefield 3 is a remote-operated robot unlocked and used by the Engineer class. The EOD can repair vehicles, arm and disarm M-COM stations in the Rush game mode, and can even be used against infantry with its powerful blowtorch. The EOD bot can also be used to disarm enemy land mines in Battlefield 3, as well as general scouting/surveillance work.

Heh, what they fail to mention here is loading it up w/ C4 packs and driving it into an enemy’s area.

Using this was incredibly amusing in the Beta, and it still is now.
There’s nothing more humiliating (and amusing) than getting killed by a remote controlled robot.
I remember being rank 14 in the beta, using nothing but the engineer class, and still never getting this bot. Now, in the game, im level 4 and 3/5 of the way there, and i just unlocked the SCAR H today. I cant wait to use this baby.

How do you kill people with it? I don’t seem to have anything to activate the blowtorch.

It’s almost an instant kill with this bot and no one seems to notice it during firefights. The little bot is sensitive to debris and it would throw you off course if you bump them.
controls are a little difficult to master, and the tiniest debris makes it go off course, and it also can’t mark targets.
Other than that, its funny as hell to use, especially if you sneak it into a enemies base and harass enemy tanks. Also, the blowtorch is incredibly damaging, and better still, you can keep it on almost indefinitely and drive into a crowd of enemies.
Plus if you have a Support Squadmate who actually can communicate with you, you can have him load it with C-4. and turn the “Disposal” bot into a “EXPLOSIVE” bot.
Last thing I wanted to point out is that you can disengage from it at anytime, and take control of it again even if you’re across the map.
Does C4 still stick to the EOD bot, or has it been patched?

how do you get ammo for the EOD bot?
I just did a conquest match with an IFV, And turned into a montage, I Took out about 3 tanks? Lol? IFV Verses tank And tanks supposed to win? Those TOW Missiles are great, And i had this little bot back me up when i took a bite to much of the action and getting me back on the road, Well worth the wait for this.
