The BTR-90 in Battlefield 3 is an infantry fighting vehicle / armored personnel carrier that can transport up to 6 soldiers: 1 driver, one gunner and 4 passengers. The BTR-90 is part of the Back to Karkand expansion pack, and is only available in Back to Karkand maps, such as Strike At Karkand and Gulf of Oman.

I believe you can find it on wake island in conquest at the B flag in one of the hangers… I haven’t seen it anywhere else
The BTR-90 is at flag D on Oman by a small Building, not to hard to find. I just used it to get that one shot-gun.
I am glad they bring back BTR-90, as having old BMP-2 only in BF3 was not fair. BMP-3 should be instead. Talking about look: BTR-90 on the screenshot has almost 2x smaller wheels vs. original size. Let’s see if in real game wheels will look more proportionate.
I found the BTR-90 at the RU deployment. U have 2 be Russian & may have 2 switch teams 2 get on that side. It’s only on the maps listed above but I found it easier 2 get it on Strike Of Karkand. It’s still really hard 2 get cuz on certain games u can’t get back 2 that section of the map or the US has the vehicle. It looks just like the BTR-90 but it won’t count on kills 4 the last challenge. I think it’s called the LAV-25 on the US side. It’s a pain in the ass 2 get it so thank God it’s only 10 kills required for the last challenge. Any1 has a better tip let me know. Thanks
It was a pain trying to find the BTR-90 on console but I found Gulf of Oman to be the easiest map to find it on. You can find it at Russian Deployment or Construction Site if under Russian control, but you have to be playing conquest, NOT conquest assault. Unfortunately, at least on consoles there is no way to differentiate what type of conquest match you’ll be going to via the server browser so trial and error… I hope that gets fixed.
this is ridicilous, you need btr-90 to unlock one of the weapons but there is not even one vehicle on those maps.
well it seems that the ps3 have glitched or something because no air vehicles appear in Conquest anymore nor the BTR 90 IFV
On the PS3 where is the Black hawk and on what gameode is the BTR-90 on, like most of you I can find the stupid Amtrak but not the BTR-90.
Ya dice needs to fix the btr-90 on the 360. it doesn’t even show up. maybe they should fix this Shit before releasing it. and not only that the thing they care about is pc players.

Dont blame dice for it isn’t they’re fault it’s EAs fault for rushing them to put content out asap asap $$$ and to beat activision blame cod for it as well cuz greediest pos publisher on earth activision pushes the same mw3,2,1 blackops waw every year like guitar hero and Tony hawk 80. Like EA comes in 2nd with madden monopoly funny they own that game to. But EA has gotten better lately and given dice more leniency with time then any of they’re other devs cuz there the best. But EA would be the reason the game has bugs & glitches that never got taken care of due to time it’s been said that these publishers hired the best dev talent then rush them with deadlines and eventually suck the creative soul out of them so quality suffers. Activision is ruthless when it comes to this EA was worse on it but has gotten a bit better and at least has sales within relevant popular time while activision waits till the games dead 2 yrs later & has no servers online then they still ask for $30 or $20 or will wrap up all cod for $60 so were supposed2 pay twice for no extra content. At least dice included the 1st dlc for free & we didn’t have to pay $50-$100 plus the price of the shitty game mw3 they want u to pay over $160 a year for elite so u can get rehash old cod maps. It’s not like it is with BF2 took years for BF3 to come out so the maps were missed we don’t miss any cod maps cuz they’re all too similar to begin with and it’s like the copy pasted half of this map& half of that pos spawn die repeat bs. But now they expect u to buy these garbage infantry maps mw3 plays worse then blackops&mw2 put together it’s the most non skilled shooter ever. But that’s not my point
My point is that u can’t blame dice only EA for rushing it and if they didn’t rush it we would only have cod to play. What I wish they did is since they basically charged for a 3day early beta that failed then the open beta was announced way after moh purchasers were pissed cuz that game sucked and dice showed that moh can beat cod in gameplay mechanics without even trying it was like a joke but the buck landed on those who bought it and the sp wasn’t as bad as I expected reviewers bashed it so I had low expectations the game exceeded. I then had extremely high expectations for BF but after moh and the beta lowered them significantly and love the game. But we could have gotten it sooner and it would have been another cod or moh. Or when we did with bugs n glitches. Or ideally not have it at all yet maybe single player yes but a full beta like multiplayer that would forever grow and become better with time which is what I hope they will do cuz a ton needs to be fixed:

such as damage and nerfed guns like all guns exept the famas will loose to famas so everyone has to use the same gun. I don’t want the famas to get nerfed I want all other guns to get unnerfed almost literally everything is under powered especially sniper rifles bolt action I’ve had to hit almost every target with a bipod less then 50meters in the head twice for a kill and have gotten up to 8 hit marks on one sniper that’s ridiculous bolt action snipers need to be one shot one kill like from center mass and up. Since the semi auto snipers are just as deadly but don’t take 2 seconds to reload a shot severely under powered when compared. I mentioned all this pre beta but the damage in badco2 was better. And the servers need a browser that tells us if a game is cq or cqassault (cqa) please make the soldiers have less health or make all the guns more powerful I’m tired of dumping clips into a guy who runs away with 10% health or kills me. And the prone to avoid being shot also needs to be fixed as is if I try to prone while under fire even at 90% health it grants my opponent an instant head shot every single time & who’s instinct isn’t to hit the ground as soon as ur under fire and get hit so to be more realistic this needs to be fixed. Thumbs up if u agree and want to get these to dice I’m patient as long as it eventually gets fixed within the next few months or so. Anyway that’s it for now.

Its on 1 map,Gulf of Oman,you are have to be russian,and you swith sides.
They dont exist on CQ Assault.
Its only on Conquest,and Conquest can only be played at Gulf of Oman,i know this cause i have spent lots of hours and Oman is the only one with Conquest,so feel lucky,search for Oman only,eventually Conquest at Oman will pop up,its a big miss from DICE or they just did not think care about it.
In BC2 the vodnik was on 1 map only,same problem here

You can get it on the map “Gulf of Oman”. The BTR-90 is on the Russian side (but you can still hijack if you are on the US side by simply waiting for it to spawn) in the “Construction Site”. It spawns right next to one of the buildings there.
** Edit ** I have noticed there are two versions of the “Oman” map. One with aircraft and one without. They have the same layouts though. On the “Oman” maps with no aircraft, the BTR-90 IFV does not spawn. Instead a tank will spawn in its place.

You can get it on gulf of Oman best way is to play conquest and make sure your Russian and spawn on the construction site

I don’t blame DICE since EA’s the one that fucked up DICE’s dev team. Even with the FUBAR’d, one map only setup you still have to deal with vehicile campers, general noobs, and oh yeah…. every other fucktard who’s after that weapon.
But as far as blaming DICE for EA rushing every game they put out or not giving two shits if it’s finished or not, not quite fair.
Yeh it takes the biscuit only havin the btr 90 on one map like been trying for ages to finish the last assignment for the shotgun
The fact that the BTR-90 is only on one map is not the issue at all.
The problem is, on the PS3 server browser, there is nothing to distinguish between a Conquest match and a Conquest Assault match.
Since the BTR-90 is only available in Conquest, and since the majority of games on ‘Oman’ seem to be CQ Assault, it can be pretty frustrating trying to find a plain Conquest match on that map.
Then once you finally find one, you’ve got to pray that 1, nobody’s using the BTR, and 2, that there’s still enough time left in that game for you to get your 10 kills.
The whole headache could be avoided by simply putting a Conquest Assault filter in the server browser. Dice, EA, whoever! Get on it! NOW!
I agree w/Frank 100%. This is just one of MANY other fk’d up things DICE has/has not done with this game.

BTR90 whats that? this piece of shit is not on russian, not on US not in CONQUEST only either, not anywhere…but some how some way I manage to get 2 kills with it…WTF is up with that??? I know I never drove this vehicle…I have about 247 thousand on hours on this ….there full of shit! hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
