BF3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Battlefield 3 Assignments are a new way to earn unlocks in the game. There are total of 10 Assignments, as a part of the Back To Karkand expansion pack. Each assignment must be completed in order to unlock one of the Back to Karkand weapons. In addition, players will receive a dog tag for completing each assignment. The 10 Battlefield 3 assignments are:
- Best Friend Forever. Unlock: FAMAS
- Fixing it. Unlock: MP5
- Let It Rain. Unlock: QBB-95
- Spec Ops. Ulock: QBU-88
- Familiar Territory. Unlock: PP-19
- Professional Russian. Unlock: L85
- It Goes Boom. Unlock: QBZ-97 / Type-97
- Keep Your Head Down. Unlock: MG36
- Creeping Death. Unlock: L96
- Scarred Veteran. Unlock: Jackhammer

I beleive when it said “complete”, it was referring to the fact all the assignments are listed, without divulging whether what everyone wants to know, how to get them, is in the list as well

That’s not the MP-5. The unlock for “Fixing It” is an HK-53.
Yeah seems that way, for those wondering; think of the HK-53 as the bastard child of a G3 and an MP5. Keeping the design of the mother and father (MP5/G3) and the power of the real father (Any carbine/rifle that uses the 5.56x45mm NATO round, because the MP5 is a cheating whore.)

even if the guy who put that gun in the game said it was an mp5 it still wouldnt be one. just look at it. mag is too big for 9mm.

Why are you still going on about the MP5 and Type 97?
It’s not an MP5 there as Alex says: It’s the HK53 from the EU spec ops kit in BF2. Of course your calling it an MP5 before is understandable since there was no proof that it was anything else.
And it’s a Type 95B (QBZ-97B), not a Type 97. A Type 97 (QBZ-97) is a full-length bullpup rifle that takes STANAG mags, an export version of the Type 95 (QBZ-95). And since the carbine version is denoted with a B, you should have been calling it at least a Type 97B the whole time anyway.

Where is my AT-4?
its probably not on there because we don’t use it anymore in the DOD.
Say what? I’m in the Army and yes we still use the AT-4 and upgraded variants of it. So check your self…
yes, we use the AT4 in the ARMY, but BF3 is based around the MARINES and they get that nice ass SMAW. it also explains why BF3 features the new M27 since the jarheads got that and us grunts know better than use a magazine fed weapon in a lmg role. i’ve heard tell that they just wanted a newer better M4 and didn’t really want to replace the M249, but i digress…
sick wot a great way to do unlock them i was actualy hoping for this instead of just get given them i mean there not hard challanges the one that you can see it says 20 kills with LMG and 2 mortor kills so u know there not hard but it makes it more interesting an the maps an vehicles WHOOOOO they look sick

Still wishing they would add the AK-47 classic. I would add a laser to that ass and sleep with it.
damb that looks bad ass haha cant wait, but hmmm question if we have mortar kills and more than 20 lmg kills then will that carry over or do we need to re get them ? im pritty sure we will need to re get them but just a question……..

for HK53 (Fixing it):
10 repairs + kill 1 enemy with ‘repair torch’
for QBB-95 (Let it rain):
20 kills with LMG + 2 mortar kills
for QBU-88 (specops):
20 kills with Sniper rifles + 5 laser designations
for PP-19 (Familiar Territory):
Arm 10 MCOMs + Capture 10 Flags + Play 2 hours on Karkand
for L85A2 (Professional Russian) (must complete Best Friend Forever):
100 kills with Assault Rifles + 20 kills with Underslung Grenade Launcher + Win 5 rounds of Squad DM
for QBZ-95B (It goes Boom!) (must complete Fixing it):
50 AT rocket kills + Destroy 1 enemy vehicle with repair torch + win 5 rounds of Conquest
for MG36 (Keep your head down) (must complete Let it Rain):
100 kills w/ LMG + 50 supression assists + 50 ammo resupplies
for L96 (Creeping Death) (must complete Specops):
50 Headshots + 50 Spot assists + 5 Knife takedowns
for MK3A1 (Scarred Veteran) (must complete Familiar Territory):
10 kills w/ PP-19 + 5 kills in DPV Jeep + 10 kills in BTR-90 IFV + Play 2 hours on Sharqi + Play 2 hours on Gulf of Oman

you can find this info. at the my soldier screen, after you are here, go to the assignments page. when you are here you can go to the assignment and it will tell you how to receive the reward.
OMG! That would be so hard! I want that MG36 so bad that I have to do some stupid challenge in order to unlock my favourite gun!
any 1 know what a laser designation is i got the 20 sniper killz no problem….but i have no idea what laser designation and i know its not spotting

Use SOFLAM to designate target, than have someone destroy it with guided missile (from tank/chopper/jet) or Javelin.
It’s almost impossible on public matches but works quite well if you have a team.
Use a SOFLAM
I believe you laser spot with the SOFLAM. Not 100% sure though.
i dont get it when the pp19 assignment says play 2 hours on karkand
you can also laser designate with the extra seat in the tank not with just a SOFLAM
how do you get the SoFlam? and how do you use it in a tank?
Why can’t I unlock the PP-19,
I already finished all the objectives,
except for the “Play 2 hours of back to Karkand”.
but it’s like i’ve been playing for 4 hours at B2K.

I believe it means play 2 hours on strike at karkland map not the actual pack.

None of my achievements unlock anymore. The game keeps telling me to buy Back to Karkand but i already bought it.
I can’t press “Assignments” , everything else is glowing but “assignments” dose not ? how the **** do i get in on it?!?
I am having the same issue…did you ever figure out how to access assignments? I cannot select it…..ps3
