BF3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

EA recently announced more than 1.3 million gamers have upgraded to Battefield 3 Premium. Although it still pales in comparison to Call of Duty Elite subscription which has 2 million subscribers, it seems they are catching up.
BF3 Premium was only recently introduced and 800,000 gamers have upgraded in the first 2 weeks when it was first introduced. If you calculate the revenue, 1.3 million x $50, that’s nearly $65 million not including gamers who may have purchased the DLCs separately. It’s no wonder, they have Battlefield 4 confirmed already.
Yay for them I guess, good to know people are still into the game.
I only got it so I could get paying for the DLC over with.
I gotta say, even though I already had Back to Karkand with my preorder… and I don’t really want any of the Close Quarter, I still got premium…. NOT for all the gimmicky dogtags, and ‘kewl new weapons’, but for the other expansion packs. Added all up, its almost the same price, and who knows,…. maybe I’ll even play Close Quarters in the future.

i still play this a lot it is my main fps they fixed the game there are something still but not that much and ya im good at this game can’t waite to play on 2gb video card on my new pc next month i play on xbox btw and i injoy it hope i get bf4 for ither xbox 720 in 2013 or pc

Yeah but DICE will need to get its hands on the SDK for the PS4 and the new Microsoft excuse for a console (sorry, just have utter hate for xbox, mainly because Microsoft make you pay extortionately for multiplayer). It will take them a while yet to get a working build of console + dev kit before DICE can even think about making BF4. Unless they intend on using Frostbite 2 I suppose, but I for one hope that they make Frostbite 3, scrap the FB 2 engine and start over. Or modify Cryengine 3 or smth. IDK. xD

The Kármán line lies at an altitude of 100 kilometres above the Earth’s sea level, and is commonly used to define the boundary between the Earth’s atmosphere and outer space. Upper levels almost doesn’t have gravitational force, so let’s take this as limit. World’s longest kill is about 2 kilometers. If we shoot a bullet to the air, it wouldn’t go 2kilometers because G-force slows it down. Let’s say it goes 1,5 kilometers, but it’s still in G-force-area. So it must come down.

Assignments sound fine for non-premium players. But I am sick of doing those. Premium should at least get a shortcut here and there.

Wow so let me get this straight they’ve earned 65 million + off premium? Good for them! Hopefully some of that money becomes an incentive to really outdo themselves with the future DLC and with BF4. I’m expecting great things DICE, as are the rest of the 1 million premium players that shoveled out the 50 bucks, please do not let us down.

The BF community was a great place, once. People like you, who have something to prove, screwed it.
The serious problem nobody wants to see, is that we haven’t receive a single bug/glitch fix since the release… Only balance adjustments. What happened to support? But, why DICE should waste time to fix this game, since, people give their 110$ anyway. BF4 and DLCs priority while, especially the DLCs contribute to even more unoptimised maps and additional bugs which never will be fixed.
I don’t understand why people mindlessly supporting and blindly defending DICE. NOT A SIGNLE FIX, HELLOW? Anyway, I know, I’m wasting my time.

They fixed the bug with the Frag rounds on the USAS and Jackhammer. They fixed the M26 MASS bug. They fixed the A10 not giving jet unlock points. They fixed the crosshair on the Mi28. They fixed the AKS-74u doing more damage at range than intended. And a bunch of others.
And no, I’m not going to get into an argument about what bugs they haven’t fixed, or whether they’re fixing bugs in a timely manner. But if you’re gonna claim that they haven’t fixed a single bug, then I’m going to call you out on that blatant fucking lie.
Most of what you just said are balance issues not bugs, bugs are when your playing and the only sound you hear is your own gun shots or foot steps! Game freezing, lost connection to EA, I’m just gonna stop cause its people like you that keep dice thinking we need more close quarters and not serious maintenance on this game..
A bug is anything that happens in the game that isn’t intended by the designers. Every single thing I listed was an unintentional happening that DICE fixed. Every. Single. One. The Jackhammer and USAS were supposed to have lower fire rate with frags, but that wasn’t happening, DICE fixed it. The AKS had lower damage drop-off than DICE intended, they patched it. The M26 was doing the damage of the base rifle instead of standard shotgun damage.
Were they things that affected balance? Yes. EVERY bug affects balance, that’s how games f***ing work.
Also, f*** you for that last bit. If anyone’s keeping DICE from improving Battlefield, it’s you and everyone like you. You spout off opinions without doing any research or putting any thought into what you’re saying. You’ll never hear me claim BF3 is perfect but at least I f***ing know what I’m talking about when I criticize it. The only thing you accomplish to make gamers look ignorant and entitled. Given the ridiculous behavior of this community sometimes, I have a hard time blaming DICE for ignoring us.
Yes, they did fix the bugs with the weapons. But how about the fixes to the game itself? They didn’t fix anything there. We, the people playing on PS3 still are playing with input-lag. The AA-switching-possebility doesn’t help. I’m not one of those who bought premium for these reasons. Maybe one or two DLC’s with big maps in it. Surely not a big fan of Frostbite 2. Flying a helo, seeing the world go by as a pictureshow. Driving fast in jeep, seeing the grass grow. Going fast in BF3 played on PS3 is an impossible thing to do. Maybe it is because of the 30fps we’ve got.
I would say that has more to do with the PS3 then it does with DICE.
My friend who owns a PS3 can’t play anything online. We have gone to three different locations and plugged in his console to try and get Killzone online.
We spent about an hour getting into one game. The lagg was horrid, and it was no less then a minute before his PS crashed.
No, I’m not saying that the PS is a horrible console. I’m just saying that it seems to be a common error when ever I hear about online gameplay from the play station community.
HEY! Don’t you blame dice!! If you blame anyone, blame ea, before battlefield was “popular” dice had more control when they made bf1942 up through bfbc1. Bfbc2 is when ea saw the dramatic increase in popularity, then they took control, when they announced bf4, didn’t you see that the president of EA announced it, later confirmed by the rest of the EA company. DICE is a fantastic company owned by the greedy bastards known as EA.
Yeah. Back when DICE catered to the real gamers and gave them a challenge and made maps big enough for them.(Us PC gamers. Screw these casual console idiots.) I love BF3! Well, started the game 4 weeks ago, completed Campaign in 1.5 weeks, started MP immediately, within 2 weeks, got to level 24. Looking to further my total kills to 1000 within August! I’m a huge fan of FPS, and come to know of BF2 while working in a gaming community company back in 2006/07. Decided to get my hand on BF3 when it came out. Got my Premium just yesterday! I truly believe that you can never claim to be a real hardcore fan until u have bought the premium! Well done DICE! Hope to see greater things in BF4!

Ignoring the argument, how pitiful.
The time value of money is a very simple concept. As I identified earlier, you pretty much have to be an idiot not to take this into account. You don’t just hide your money under a mattress. You typically save it through some form of investment. Over time, the value of your money grows. Instead of doing this, you paid the full price to EA for a package you will not fully receive until a full year after payment. That means that for a whole year, EA is making money on your money while you sit around with no services rendered for your payment.
This is a common marketing tactic. This is the whole concept behind the pre-order business. You charge someone at a slight discount because they’ll look at the pricetag and exclaim, “But it’s cheaper!” when in reality, you’re actually losing money. As a general principle, you should NEVER pay for a service that will not be rendered, especially when you can’t even give a date for when you will receive what you paid for. I mean really, did you just think EA was giving you a discount because they love you? Don’t be naive.
Why is it always BF2 with you people anyways? While it was the most polished Battlefield game, it was my least favorite. Personally I liked BC1 and BFV the most, followed by 2142 and 1942.
Adapt or die? How is this an adaptation? It’s casualization. BF3 has added nothing new to the series other than the eod bot, laser sights and flashlights. Every single thing you see in BF3 has been in a previous game. The game is ridiculously easy and caters to players who think teamwork is nothing more than having a teammate press 4 and lmb when they die.
I have continually called for compromise to help Veterans such as myself get back into Battlefield. On the other hand, you have done nothing but try to kick us out of our own community. We all want improvements and EA certainly did a number on BF3, but it still is a enjoyable game. And that game is changing. It’s no longer designed to appeal solely to the Battlefield Veterans; it’s designed to appeal to a broader player base. As someone else already said; adapt or quit playing.

I dont get the people that are bitching about BF3 Premium. Most of the people got it cause they plan to get all the DLC’S for the game and with premium they’l save some money in comparison of buying each dlc standallone. Plus they get camos and dogtags. So then EA is scaming people with the premium which is actualy cheaper than all the dlcs standallone?
And EA announced the Release date of battlefield 4. Its suppoed to be shiped betwen March and April 2014.

Yeah,… the vanillas are crummy… they don’t suck, but uninspired in my opinion. WAYYYYYY too much funnelling of people into choke points. BFBC1 and 2 are my first entires into BF, but I really enjoyed those maps because I could play the way I wanted, where I wanted and still do very well. The map layouts were phenomenal.
You should play the REAL battlefield titles. Talking about 1942-2142. Actual big maps not catered to the whimps of you console kids, plus 64 players. Seriously, if you started with BC1(The game that destroyed the Battlefield franchise) then you missed out on the past 11 years of Battlefield.
…true… but I can only speak from my own experience. I only played on console, and I enjoyed the bfbc series, and 1943(ps3 version). I like the idea of moving from one point to another many different ways.

Yea some content prob should be available day 1 but thats not how it is anymore. The days of spending 3-5 years deving a game and loading it with content so it lasts 5+ years is over. They are able to make games faster now and its so expensive to make games most dont even make profits.

Why is it always console kids shouting for the removal of the minimap?
If you remove the minimap you get rid of the last speck of teamwork BF3 has. Without the minimap, you don’t know where your team is going and you don’t know where your squad mates are. You would be running around like a headless chicken hoping to see an enemy and ignoring your team mates, like in MW2 Hardcore.
In all its wisdom, DICE has decided to not give VOIP to PC. Without the minimap, there would be absolutely 0 teamwork unless you’re lucky enough to have a lot of friends with gaming PCs, BF3 and a similar schedule. And not many people are that fortunate.
I have to add that I play exclusively on Hardcore mode.
Instead of removing the minimap, the BF2 system should be used. Enemies should never appear on the minimap unless spotted by a team mate. Appearing on the minimap whenever you shoot is retarded.
I just wanted to thank all the Premium Players out there for the free new weapons you keep leaving behind.
