BF3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

DICE has announced another Battlefield 3 double XP weekend on June 16-17. The event will be open to both Premium and non premium members, and all maps will be supported, including the recently released Close Quarters DLC. The Battlefield 3 double XP weekend will run from 00:01 AM PDT June 16th – 11:59 PM PDT June 17th. Points will be doubled just like last time — simply play on any ranked server and any points you have accumulated at the end of the round will be doubled up. Not gonna play on double XP weekends. I want to keep my stats legit and not boost them with such stupid events (in my opinion). I find it sad that there will be addicts playing on these weekends 24/7 and then bragging about their high SPM… Obnoxious.
Did anyone experience this before? I was playing Battlefield 3 and at the end of the round I got minus few thousand points. WTF???? I was in colonel 13 and I got down to colonel 12.
Im not sure if i went down a level but during gameplay my screen said ive been demoted.

@Raptor we can turn auto aim off…but i do agree 24 players and low res textures are a bit of a let down on console gaiming. @Croaker41 there is NO NEED to start a fucking flame war over what gaming platform is better… 1 may have a better aspect over the other but all in all they all do the same thing… PLAY AMAZING GAMES!

They use a “double points” system as a desperate attempt to get people to play when BF3 is supposed to be about having fun. As I said, they lost focus on what matters. If you think I’m wrong, you’re probably playing for all the wrong reasons.
Fixing the game, delivering on their promises, providing mod support and providing mapping tools to create custom maps is what DICE/EA should have done from the start to the end. And when innocent people get banned through a PB exploit via a BF3 hosted server [130+ users and counting], they should always come clean and admit there is nothing that can be done about it instead of lying to the whole community by stating it has been fixed.

I don’t get the point of having double xp so late after release, since most people are colonels anyway. None the less, I will still be playing this weekend
I’m guessing for those people that missed out last time or for the people that work during the week and are unable to play during the week so they can catch up without having to pay for unlocks
probably Dices way to get some of the playerbase back by offering them more points for their precious stats.

Im sure they know. Last double xp was mothers day weekend (for consoles) so y WOULDN’T they do 1 on fathers day!? Shoulda done double xp on memorial day weekend.

weekend to me is defined my fri-sat-sun…3 days.. not just sat and sun. I could overlook that if the timing wasnt so lame… starts on pacfic time.. so someone like me on the east coast either has to stay up until 4AM for the damn event to start sat nite or just play sunday….
so if your on east coast you get one day of double XP… which is sunday… which is fathers day. wtf.
The world does not revolve around the US. The majority of the world will get it at good hours. It is impossible for them to keep everyone happy as no matter what time they start it will be in the middle of the night for someone. For example for me it doesn’t start until 5PM on Saturday.
Really, shouldn’t it start at midnight Friday and finish midnight Sunday where ever you live. Not at some stupid time when everyone in my country will be asleep.
It would be impossible to control. They could only do it by PSN and Xbox regions and IP addresses, and not one of them is related to time zones and each region takes up more then one time zone.

I have now come to realization that bf3 is broken now…my main complaint is how fast ppl run, seriously did the new patch turn ppl into the flash? I shoot a sniper in the back, and he retreats and like somehow does a 360 and runs at 200 mph and is like a mile away….everyone does tha now, they get shot then they start jumping up and down and running in cirlces and you cant hit them, then they just do a 360 and kill you in one burst it pisses me off so much, and no one plays objective anymore, everytime I play a game with vehicles the other team kills our vehicles with their helicopter as soon as they spawn, or they just steal our vehicle, this is stuff that happens almost every game to me, not just every now and then. Also squad deathmatch is fucking terrible now…you spawn and instantly die from behind, and every camps buildings…

Lame ass attempt by EA to get people to play their game is what it is. They fuck the community with their patches then toss them a bone (in mothers & fathers day weekends) I mean really what a bunch if fucking morons. Fix the fucking game and shove the extra points up your asses EA & Dice.
Don’t know about everyone else, but I’m quite enjoying CQ right now, never thought I’d actually say that. It doesn’t feel that much like CoD to me, all you need is a bunch of players who are actually good at the game and a decent squad then it’s alright. Gun master is a bit weird, but Domination is good and I like all the new maps and the L86 is AMAZING!! Don’t think I’ll bother with the double XP weekend because
1) It’s the father’s day weekend.
2) I’m colonel service star 14 so it’s a bit late for that to matter anyway.
3) None of my friends bought premium, although I can’t say I blame them because the goodies were a bit shit (Box cutter lol).
agreed, the new knife looks like shit, orange handle, and a weird blad shape, it really does look like a box cutter, maybe that would make sense if we were plaing as the taliban in medal of honor or something…..I hope you can change back to the other knife somehow.

Uhhhh. The CQ maps are terrible. I am not a BF purist either. I actually thought they might be good. They aren’t. It’s four “The Complex” maps. You’ve played it before in a ton of games. A mansion, a warehouse, etc. They could have been more creative. Like why can’t I base jump to the bottom of Ziba Tower? That was the first thing I tried. Would have been sweet to be able to parachute to the bottom and work my way back up…..NOPE! Lame…
My theory is that CQ is designed like COD to steal some of the player base, then drop Armored Kill to show them what BF is really like.
But i agree with you. CQ is not my preferred option in BF.
On a second note, anyone think that with the release of the new vehicles in Armored Kill, they will add them into some of the original maps?
Like how they added the Little Bird to Sharqi Peninsula.
