You may have seen advertisements of an iOS version of Battlelog on Battlelog’s website for many months now. Despite this, we never got word on when or if we’d ever see Battlelog released on Apple’s iOS platform. To everyone’s surprise, EA has now released the Battleog app for the iPhone. The free app lets users check their stats, notifications, and friend lists.

Wait…”free”? EA? Free? “EA” and “free” are never used in the same sentence.
Where’s the catch?
Yeah this is a nice feature. It might have the negative of reinforcing people’s bad obsession with their stats as opposed to team play. But, team play isn’t what it used to be at this point anyway.
It’s a nice feature to have. I’ll use it for sure when I’m bored on my phone.
Now, if they would only release a hotfix for the m26 dart so people wouldn’t try to stat pad so much.

I don’t play the game since last patch so have fun with it…who ever is still trying to actually kill someone…two headshoots and three chest hits from hip in a hardcore mode (5m) is not enough to bring the enemy down so what’s the point of playing such shooter… just bought the COD (for the first time!) and realized how messed up BF3 has indeed became after the patch! This game was now made for small kids to not get killed to fast (alldow age restriction) I guess it was more marketing move rather than balancing anythink…RIP BF3

If anything, long range damage was increased, and some guns had a close range buff. Get better with something other than foregrip+suppressor.

Android users always get the short end of the stick. But considering I have a phone capable of flash, and a dual core 1.5 ghz processor, I access the full version of battlelog pretty easily.

First of all: stop talking about “flash”…. It’s like you are from 2008 or something… 95% popular websites already implemented HTML5 to embed their video for mobile devices…Plus Adobe already announced that they dropped support for flash on mobile devices like 1-2 years ago…
Second: why you mention flash when we talk about battlelog??? Battlelog DOESN’T even use flash to support their content, I’m viewing battlelog on my iPad just like it on my PC..
Lastly, mentioning your CPU speed on a mobile device is just dumb as fuck. I’m telling you that no matter how fast you CPU is, the difference is too minimum to tell unless you do a benchmark, well probably 0.0001 seconds difference between a 1G and 2G, plus you have to consider power consumption, especially on a mobile device. it also depends on your device architecture, no matter how fast your CPU is, it will be still as slow as a slowpoke.
No, even having the option of having flash is better than not at all.

Maybe if you were to go into an argument with some semblance of intelligence, and common courtesy we could discuss the semantics of computing power on mobile devices. I agree with this not helping with the stat-whore problems of late but it is a pretty convienent feature.
Good work EA…. by the time you release the DLC the 10 to 20 or so people still playing will really enjoy this I’m sure!!!!!!

Are you trying to tell me that there’s more people playing the game now than there was during the first 3 months of the games release? There’s lots of servers sitting empty…
I have no idea what the stats are, but I gotta say, there certainly seem to be a lot less people playing now. So many servers are low population or empty now. Maybe that’s just bad luck on my part. But it wouldn’t surprise me.
I’m not saying the patch is bad, but some people get pretty pissed off when things are changed like last patch. Others get bored quickly. Others don’t like how little BF3 feels like BF2. All sorts of reasons I suppose. The only thing I personally don’t like about the last patch is how OP the m26 dart is now. It’s more OP than anything before in previous builds. I don’t really know how this got overlooked or why it wasn’t hotfixed within hours of the patch going live.
I don’t log on very often anymore, but I’m still enjoying a few games here and there. And they have made some positive additions to the get. Granted they should have been there at launch, but it’s getting better overall. I just wish all my friends didn’t quit, or I’d probably play more. /sadface
Again, visit gametracker.com and look for servers there. I’m not sure why the Battlelog browser suck, but apparently 10000′s of people are playing on the PC alone mid-day.
Sooo, people ARE playing, but the great majority don’t leave positive comment on websites like these (where most people are whiners looking for attention). So it’s easy to get the wrong idea when there’s people like yourself.
Android has had a nice app for some time now, not EA made but still..
This unofficial one still beats the crap out of this one.

Just taking a look at my stats now I’m kind of wondering where my “Skill” would be if they included Sensor/Spot assists amongst Revives/Repairs/Resupplies/Heals.

M26 + Heavy Barrel + Underslung Rail is the bugged combination.

You can also use iStats for Battlefield 3 which is an iPad only app. Displays a lot of statistics that you cannot find on Battlelog.
It’s not free but it really has a lot more going for it.
