That means you can get the game for $29.99 as a PC download. Sadly, only the PC download version is included in this offer, PS3/Xbox 360 editions still retail for $45.

I have a serious question.
Why do you, and others, say “first comment” and “second comment”? Is it a thrill knowing that your comment is at the top of the page and is going to get more views than the comments later down the page?
If that’s the case; then why don’t you use that space for something you know…worth reading? People wouldn’t spam thumbs down on you, and people wouldn’t hate you for leaving a completely pointless comment.

The “first comment” thing is nothing but trolling. It’s just to get a reaction. It’s bored people, bored lives.
Yesterday, when I’ve commented, I got the message “your comment is awaiting moderation”. I wonder how can these “first”, “second” etc. comments be posted, if the comments are moderated? The moderators should be more strict…

From what I noticed comments normally pend for moderation when they either contain curse words or links to websites. I could be wrong; but that’s what I noticed.
I’ve paid it less than 30 euros on pre-launch… Something went terribly wrong after the launch date

You and me both. I love my console but I still miss 64 players. Maybe the next Battlefield will be able to run on the next gen consoles with 64 players.
IMHO the 64 players isn’t a great deal. You just run around and shoot, but with less players (I usually play 16-24 players servers) you’re forced to be more tactical and have a better teamwork.

Battlefield 3 was a disaster from the start:
-Their first mistake was to not put it on steam… “no matter ill by the hard copy” but I find it REALLY strange how they had problems with steam a week after origin is launched…
-next they had DLC lined up BEFORE the game was launched… WOW no comment on that
-they call this a sequel to BF2? where is the commander? 6 player squads? next thing you know they will charge you 20$ on a dlc called “the true BF” “included maps that can be played with biggers squads up to 6 and an all “new” commander mode…” WAY TO CHOP THE GAME UP INTO DLC EA, GOOD JOB!
-ignored the disapointed community, and the escalating hacker problem.
-SOOO… you have millions of fans that you are ripping off, shoving origing down their throats while battlelog up their asses,
-LIED about the game for advertising “PC the number 1 platfrom”
-THEY focued so much on the games graphics so they could draw the community in with “ahh cool graphics” well EA now you have found out the hard was that good eye candy does not mean the gameplay is just as good which it is not…
THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME EA HAS DONE THIS… SO FUCK YOU EA!!!

The truth is, as you can see from that quote, is the fact that Battlefield is no longer designed specifically for the Battlefield 2 players. Battlefield is simply changing to appeal to a wider player base. We have to either learn to evolve with it, or go play something else.
Are these changes for the better? In a way yes and no. However, in my opinion it wouldn’t of been that much of a big deal and Battlefield 3 would of been pretty damn awesome if it simply wasn’t screwed over so badly during development.
During development, Battlefield 3 PC WAS the lead platform. (Not trying to hate on consoles; please read on) However, EA wanted to finish Battlefield 3 before the new Call of Duty came out. DICE, who is was designing a game from scratch on not one , but two platforms and three different systems had no choice but to “consolize” 50% of Battlefield. The “consolization” of Battlefield on the PC would explain the console style UI (user-interface) for PC. DICE simply not having any time left would also explain why features such as PC VoIP, tons of bugs on launch, and other small things like no ping or class icons in the in-game scoreboard are gone or being implemented in a later patch.
Am I saying it’s the consoles fault? Not one bit. I’m saying it’s EA’s fault for giving DICE a extremely constrictive time frame, forcing them to convert literally quote “50%” unqoute of Battlefield into a half PC half console game to meet the deadline.
My point is that Battlefield is no longer the “play our way or go play something else” game we all knew and loved. It’s designed for a wider player base now, and it’s new design wouldn’t of been that big of a deal if Battlefield wasn’t fucked over in development thanks to EA trying to rush it out the door so it can beat CoD’s release date.
However; their is still hope for the Battlefield series. If either Battlefield 2143 or Battlefield 4 is developed and released then maybe they will be given more development time to make a proper console version, proper PC version, and overall a better game with all the bells and whistles at launch.
They did it with Crysis 2 and Mass Effect too, By the way they’re probably going to ruin crysis 3(just announced) too. Ea fucked over their developer departments and now have them on short leash and if they don’t comply they get fucked really fucked over and get their licensing removed and another small bitch pussy company takes over like with Bethesda and Obsidian crap, I rather be independent and keep my dignity than going for sales regardless of what the Publishsers want, The whole reason of getting a publisher is that you will get the most and best help towards making your creation an reality and for consumers to like it, not for megabucks and such bullshit if your sole purpose for making a game is for money you should just jump out the fucking window and kill yourself,sorry for the long post

Why would ANYONE buy this, when you can buy a BF3 Origin Code for as little as 10 $. Just buy the Russian edition and change the language. I did it, and it works fine.
Twinkie my m8 bought the russian versian but it messed up with that latest upadate did yours and if so how did you fix it?
Well, I don’t know. I alreay had the english version when I bought another copy that was russian. So I just installed them in the same folders, and they’re both english, lol. Not sure how it works if only got the russian. Google away, I’m sure other people got that problem aswell.

Anyone notice the game has 2 and a half stars? That’s because it’s not fun for the PC people who can play it on Ultra graphics even. I’m back on 2142, and it’s interesting to see how full the servers got again because I’m not the only one who thinks good graphics doesn’t guarantee a good game.
BF3 is fun for 5 minutes, then I realize those 5 mins on 2142 would have earned me 2 dead tanks, a walker, all the drivers plus the one’s running away before everything blew up. Then I’d kill those investigating all the commotion. In 45 minutes of BF3, I killed a jeep, and disabled 2 vehicles. Yay.
