BF3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

DICE have released a back-end update for the Battlefield 3 platform, which adds a more complete server browser and playlist to console versions of Battlefield 3. Players can now sort between Back To Karkand/regular maps, and new server types that either run classic maps, urban maps, or Back to karkand-only maps. There are also a variety of “mixed” settings as well. The new playlist coincides with the release of server rentals of consoles, where players can rent Battlefield 3 game servers for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
In addition, DICE revealed that tomorrow is likely the day where the release date of the patch will be announced. For more on the patch, check out the full list of confirmed fixes.
I don’t get why the Back to Karkand maps have random, sized down versions of themselves. Take Sharqi Peninsula for example; both map variants are conquest assault, so it’s the same game mode, but one has attack choppers and five flags, and the other has only tanks and three flags. What’s the point? It’s the same game mode, why bother make a smaller, weaker version?
Hardcore – No Minimap Option. Por favor.
this is complete crap that you cannot just play conquest, especially on hard core. I cannot believe dice would screw up this bad. no patch, no good servers that do not switch you up, no chance of keeping me playing with Mass Effect 3 out…..

Sounds good. As a console player, I appreciate this server patch. I will be interested to see how, if at all, the big huge weapons/vehicles patch affects my play experience.
if the patch isnt out tomorrow on ps3 i will give up on dice for good, i know its out of there hands when sony an ms certify it, but regardless, the bloody game came out october, were now at the end of march, this patch should have been passed on months ago, i near damn sick to death of all the mav abusing noobs, an frag round usas, i mean come on, dice couldn’t even create a fundamental thing like a party system which works! what hope have they got for taking down cod?? whats the point calling bf a team game when you cant even jump into a lobby with a few friends an then join a game to play without ending up on the opposite team or even different games! sheesh! also why the hell cant we have partys bigger then 4?? we should be able to play with 8 friends, which is 2 squads of four,an with team speak on the voip settings, its the most fun ive ever had on a bf game! this game is so broken its unbelievable! dice have lost all the respect i once had for them, regardless of whether its ea forcing them, as the developer there comes a time when they have to stand up an say to the publisher to bugger well sod it, an that there not happy to release the game in its current state! an the so called servers have got to be the worst i have ever seen in a dedicated server game!! every weekend the European servers just go haywire, an refuse to work! the dice servers just drop out of the quick join, an so every one has to play on laggy ea servers, the game cant even remember what weapons i last used for each class in the russian or us army, WTF???? an now they are taking the piss with the dlc maps, the reason why they are releasing the cqb maps first is cos htey know most of the hardcore bf fans are bored to death of the current maps, an so will most likely buy the cqb one when its released , just to tie us over till the real map pack comes, the armour fury pack, they know that if they released the armour one first 99% of us would have bought it an said sod it to the cqb map pack, by releasing the cqb one first an making us wait for both of them, its makes us get sick of the standard ones an buy the cqb one to tie us over to the armour one, they take the piss, an i doubt highly that i will ever buy another dice game ever again, we have had terrible support, hell the input lag an aim acceleration problems still plague the ps3 version! i have a feeling the aim problems on ps3 are due to them making the ps3 version mouse compatible!! the beta was perfect for controls, while the full game is garbage! it has to be to do with the mouse, an no it aint my tv, my tv is a top of the range sony bravia, an even on my gaming monitor a samsung syncmaster, which is 2ms response time,i still feel the aim down sight crappy programming!! ahh, ive gotten carried away sorry guys, am just furious i love bf3 an bf games,i have it on pc, an ps3,i own an game on 360, wii, ps3 an pc, but i dont like to play on pc cos i hate all the hackers, also i just prefer controllers over mouse an keyboard, hate it or love it, its MY PREFERENCE, no need for a fanboy war, plus the bf3 maps feels to me like they were built for the consoles an the console player size an are not balanced weel for pc 64 player matches,either way dice have made th eps3 version terrible, i hate getting owned by a person who is using a mouse an keyboard, an so has a massive advantage to aiming,while me an most of the ps3 players are using the ps3 controller, it should be a level playing field an gives the mouse players on ps3 an unfair advantage, please dice remove this garbage!! an for the mouse fanboys GTFO!! go back to pc,an leave ps3 alone!!!!! rant over i cant be arsed to type any more!!LOL at dice for ever dreaming they could take down cod, as rubbish a recycled as cod is, at least the fundamental things which make it a online shooter work flawlessly!! dice need to up there game an up there speed!!
Not to be bashing the ps3 but since us Xbox guys have party chat even tho we can party up with 4, 8 of us can be in a party chat and play in the same game.

Im a PS3 user and it just got sh*ttier, The lag is unbearable in these new servers, Not to mention that you get disconnected from EA every second, Rat Sh*T!
And its not my internet! It this piece of Sh*t game BF3, Or dear Not the close quarters DLC noob camp explosion fest.

Well….console have in game server browsers, PC is stuck with faillog and origin.
As far as dice goes for releasing anything….”soon”.
@Indi try disabling UPnP option in your router settings or ps3 network settings, it solved my issue from getting disconnected or unable to join servers due to “failed connection”
now i dont mind the rush and conquest mixture since those game modes are now the typical bf game modes. the classic conquest and the new but beloved rush mode from the bc series. thats the ONLY game modes i ever want to play.since most of them have TDM aswell thats where it throws us off.
most of us dont mind playing rush and conquest but TDM is not something that most bf players like to play.
What I dont like is the fact that when you join a server, the match is like already over. I hope they COULD fix that, but I think you get what you get, hosting can’t be perfect :s
The DLC is not being aimed at existing fans. If it was, we would be seeing Armored Kill first. EA/DICE already made their money from us ‘veteran’ fans and now seeks to grab those who didn’t buy the game because it’s too big/hard/confusing(read: MW3 fans) and that is why Close Quarters is coming first.
My only complaint is; If you are appealing to the remaining shooter fans that haven’t bought BF3 because MW3 is more their taste, why not go full-on corridor-shooter in Close Quarters with the “+100XP” per kill in the center of the screen, Perks(call them ‘Equipment’), and Kill-Streaks(call them ‘Support’) just like the game who’s fanbase they are trying to poach?

I saw the “new browser” and for a glimps of a second my heart filled with joy with the thought of a PC in-game server browser…..but NOPE! XD sad times.
I hope they realize that their are not any regular rush servers left in the hardcore mode.
are there dice and ea servers for xbox? if so how so i find ea servers as of right now i scroll thru and only see DICE. I checked my filter but didnt see an option.
Great now i cannot play TDM only, there are no servers they play Only hardcore TDM
