BF3 mobile
After an onslaught of bad reviews and feedback from gamers, EA has pulled the mobile Battlefield 3 game, Battlefield 3: Aftershock, from Apple’s iOS App Store. The game was released earlier this month and sponsored by the upcoming movie Act of Valor, but EA has now decided to pull the game due to quality issues. EA said in a satement:

“…we have decided to remove Battlefield 3: Aftershock from the App Store and are currently re-evaluating the app in response to the consumer feedback we’ve received.”

No word on when or if the game will return to the App Store. Have you played Battlefield 3: Aftershock? What are (or, were) your thoughts on it?

You know, what’s so discouraging isn’t just that we haven’t seen any real DLC yet, it’s that it hasn’t even been announced.

I know, EA has become a money hogging company.
I’m all fine and well with a company making a profit, but EA is going for a profit+ What ever else they can squeeze out of it.

DICE needs to get the rights to Battlefield and brake away from EA. I even thought I got little money, would donate to help them. Heck I bet if they even just asked for donations they would be able to support them selves and do things on their own time and not have to bend to EA’s whim.

      Fkin’ this x120000 ^^^^^^^

Old DICE, where in the hell did you go? I miss the DICE that made Battlefield 2. I miss the DICE that actually knew how to make real sequels. Not the DICE that promises a great sequel, then removes commander mode, 6 player squads, teamwork, and what ever is left that makes Battlefield so sucessful.

DICE, listen to your community. We wanted and still want a real sequel, not a Call of Duty cross over.

“It was still better than COD” nice.
Really though, in the time it took to plan/create/release “Aftershock” they could’ve (in the very least) released something better like, oh I dunno… a BATTELOG APP?

Okay guys we need to stop working on BF3 patches and DLC’s and pour the rest of BF3′s budget into making BF3 Aftershock into a true BF2 sequel..I mean that’s what the community wants and we listen to the community here at EA/DICE

ppl shouldnt expect a high production value out of a ios games…I bet the bad reviews were from soccer moms who bought it for there 8 year old kid who thought it would be the same exact thing as bf3. why do they even make games like this for cell phones and tablets ect? just leave it to the simple stuff like tetris and temple run

Ya I figured it was going to be shitty ever since I saw it at the gaming convention last August.. How about Battlelog for Android and iOS!? I mean really if we want to sit down and play some shitty game that looks like no one put any effort into it then we you should just go play COD..!

I’d say that blackout will be very easy to tag along with, seeing as I and most of my friends only care to play the game once a week or so nowadays. If EA/DICE can’t even bother to quickly fix obvious problems such as MAV-riding despite the community telling them about it for a long time, then I can’t see them handling all the bigger obstacles to proper teamplay anytime soon. Heck, I even gave ArmA 2 a try last week to see if I could find a decent alternative to the BF series. I want team work, for crying out loud, and not lonewolfing CoD style.

The lack of communication and information from both developer and publisher is frustrating, to say the least. A telling example would be an e-mail of mine to EA Support regarding login issues that it took them 1,5 months to answer to, and then with a copy-n-paste reply that had nothing to do with my original question.

At least I can take comfort in the fact that they’ve been diverting resources to BF3: Aftershock. After all, it’s not like they have anything else to fix in their franchise lineup…
