DICE has released a list of updates, fixes and tweaks which will be available in the upcoming PC patch, scheduled for release next week.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed a problem with spawn timer now showing blue border on startup and lost spawn point
- Fixed a problem where player who joined queuing on End of round got spawn screen stuck on screen, but unable to do anything with it untill next round loaded
- Fixed a problem where camera would change to 3rd person on killcam when killcam was turned off in server settings
- Fixed stat references on several dogtags
- Fixed for surveillance ribbon not counting TUGS
- Fixed a missing combat area lines on the minimap for Grand Bazaar conquest small
- Moved a tank spawn in US base on Caspian Border so it would not be destroyed by a falling tree
- Fixed a problem where placing C4 with the russians soldier was playing US faction VO
- Fixed a problem where TV guided missiles could be shot into its own helicopter and destroy it
- Fixed a problem when attempting to fire lock on weapons without a target
- Tweaked the chat, it should now be a bit easier to read
- Fixed several vehicles that did not properly shoot rockets and guns towards their predictive sights
- Fixed the G17 Supressed Laser not working properly
- Added alternate HUD colors to help colorblinds
- Added a network interpolation setting. This allows users with good bandwidth reduce latency, but might increase some stuttering. The user can find what works best for his connection by tweaking the slider.
- Increased the Spawn protection radius on TDM
- Fixed a problem with smoke on land vehicles, Missiles should now miss more often
- Fixed a problem where users could end up with IRNV scope in any vehicle
- Fixed a problem where player dies if vaulting over a ledge and into water while sprinting
- Fixed several crashes and increased general stability
- Fixed a problem where the user was unable to revive two players that have the bodies one over the other
- Fixed so you can assign an axis and use as a digital input. This makes it possible for the player (on pc) to assign one of the sticks on a gameped to be used for throttle/brake.
- Fixed a problem with the Kill camera acting up when suiciding from parachute
- Fixed air radar was showing to much. now lasertagged, heatsignature above threshold, enemy missiles and capture points are only visible on air radar
- Fixed a problem where the game would enter a technical hang if the user pressed pause menu and tilde at the same time
- Fixed a problem where you could get green flashes on screen
- You can now reassign cycle weapons
- Fixed so the weapon zooms automatically after bipod deploy is gone when using zoom toggle
- Fixed a problem where the parachute would stay stuck in air if the owner was killed
Balance Tweaks:
- Fixed several weapons so they are properly suppressed and hide the player on the minimap when fired.
- Tweaked Tactical Light so it is not as blinding over longer ranges.
- Tweaked the IRNV scope so it is limited to usage only at close range.
- Reduced heat masking effectiveness of Spec Ops Camo.
- Fixed a bug where Ammo spec would give additional 40mm grenades instead of Frag spec.
- Increased the number of additional 40mm grenades from Frag spec.
- Fixed so AT mines only live for 20 seconds after a player dies to prevent infinite mines. (We want to make a different fix in the future, it’s in JIRA).
- Increased the Time to Live on sniper caliber rounds to allow extreme distance shots.
- Fixed several weapon descriptions, calibers, and fire rates. The weapons themselves have not changed.
- Fixed so the M9 and MP443 pistol can be equipped by the opposing faction when it is unlocked at 100 kills.
- Fixed Laser Guided Missiles missing their targets if the target is moving too fast.
- Reduced the effectiveness of Stealth on Air Vehicles.
- Reduced the effectiveness of Beam Scanning for Jets.
- Reduced the damage done to Armored Vehicles and Infantry from AA guns.
- Increased the damage RPGs and Tank shells do to AA vehicles.
- Slightly decreased the accuracy for all weapons on fully automatic, burst fire is now preferable at mid to long range.
- Increased the effective accuracy of long bursts for LMGs when using a bipod.
- Slightly increased the range of the 44magnum bullets.
- Increased the close range damage of 4.6x30mm and 5.7x28mm bullets.
- Increased the reload time of the Mortar from 3.5sec to 4.8sec and increased the time it takes before a shell hits the ground.
- Reduced the aimed accuracy bonus given by a Suppressor for the MP7, P90, PP2000, PP-19, and UMP45.
- Increased the range and FOV for designating targets with the SOFLAM and vehicle Laser Designators.
- Decreased the effectiveness of 12g FRAG ammo when equipped on semi-automatic and automatic shotguns.
- Slightly Increased the power of Fighter Jet Cannons against all vehicle targets, especially Helicopters.
- Decreased the power of Miniguns against Jets and Helicopters.
- Increased the power of Stingers against Jets.
- Flares reload times for Jets and Helicopter Gunners have been increased.
- Tweaked the AN94 so its burst fire better conveys the real world advantage offered by this weapon.
- Added Single Shot to the AN94 as an available fire mode.
- Slightly increased the recoil on the M416 and removed the Burst Fire mode (this weapon incorrectly had burst fire, which was not authentic)
- Tweaked the spawns for TDM on Kharg Island, Grand Bazaar, Caspian Border, Seine Crossing, Operation Firestorm, Damavand Peak and Noshahar Canals
- Moved a tank spawn in US base on Caspian Border so it would not be destroyed by a falling tree
- Tweaked the Gas station Capture area on Conquest on Caspian Border
- Tweaked the max vehicle height on Noshahar Canals

They need to nerf the poles. Stingers can’t touch me in my little bird, but if i accidentally bump a pole i get flipped over and explode. =[

Very often, choppers and jets can crash into poles over nothing because they didn’t appear from far away. It’s not until you get too close that it’s too late to do something, and you die from indestructible poles.
Also, sometimes when choppers are being landed, they bounce around slightly on the ground and, after re-taking off, crash into poles.

A jet flying into a pole ‘over nothing’? Ha! You’re not meant to be flying so close to the ground, you damn nitwit. If you do want to do that in your helicopter/jet though, fine, but accept that there are positives AND negatives. It’s not meant to be this free-for-all for jets and helicopters. You get to mow down every one in sight but at the same time you have to contend with poles and other obstacles.
What are we meant to do in Noshahar Canals? Flying high, start stalling and then crash to the ground? That’s usually how and when I crash into poles, and it makes sense for the following:

Everybody had to fly too low among all the poles and towers.
Also, many skilled pilots – jets or helicopters – can fly low to attack infantry or vehicles or to evade other aircrafts or even locked-on missiles. I have no idea why you think flying low is so strange and stupid.
Which platform do you play on Voldemort? On the PC I never had this kind of problem.

What I’m saying is that any half-way reasonable player understands and accepts that there are positives and negatives in all vehicles, in all weapons, etc, etc. You can’t expect to have all pluses. Your complaint about hitting poles is as stupid as someone saying, ‘I love that I can take out buildings and kill hordes of people in my tank but I wish they need to fix it so the tank can drive as fast as a jeep.’

Anyway, the patch is truly almost perfect! The only problem is the AT mines, but they said they have another plan in the future! Just give a limit of 6-8 mines, but in permanent location!
I too cannot for the life of me think why the fast spinning blades on any helicopter impacting a pole of just about any material would cause sudden loss of control and likely imminent death…
If AT mines stay live for 20 seconds after you die, why don’t claymore mines as well? I think both deserve equal time after death.

They listen to who whines the loudest (“Customer Feedback”) and then arbitrarily nerf/buff what’s being complained about. Example: IRNV Scope – “We might have gone overboard.” Its called Testing changes you’re implementing, so you DON’T go overboard. Arbitrary Nerf/Buffing based on what people QQ the loudest about ruins Games.

Yes, they increased the impact of AA mobile on infantry, but… too much! It takes just one bullet in 50 meters distance to kill you… I think they will reduce it a bit. Not as it was at the beginning, of course…

The vehicles are fine. Like any racing game if you hold the key down you do a full lock of the steering wheel just like in real life. The only thing that is probably nt up to par is the behavior of the vehicle at lower speeds. You shouldn’t be able to swerve that much at low speeds. Learn how to drive! millions can wtf is special about you?
not exactly sure you get what hes sayin. i know its spam but people with low sensitivity are stuck with vehicles that crank up our sensitivity. its like the vehicles have a default sensitivity not how fast the turn but the mouse sensitivity is locked and very weird if you dont play with that sensitivity.
Indeed… Usually in vehicles you want greater sensitivity than the control of your player. I think later maybe they will add a different bar for this. One for your mouse on foot and one for vehicles.

I’m fairly certain people are mostly referring to the gunner seat in open vehicles.

See the problem with being fully realistic is that in real life some guns like literally fck ppl up and are “overpowered” but in the end this is a videogame and you gotta keep it fair. for example in real life maybe the M27 IAR is the strongest best gun ever so if they copied its real life stats everybody would be using it.

Its stupid when some1 can go fully auto with a LMG and not have enough recoil. Burst fire if you need to hit a target noob. -IRNV balanced
-Tac light
-annoying AT mines
-jets are better
-stinger is better (can actually take out jets now, yay)
-mortar balanced
It says they increased power of RPG against AA, but I wish they’d make it more powerful across the board.
Oh yeah they also nerfed frag rounds, which I’m thankful for, cause every idiot is packing a USAS or Saiga with extended mag and frag rounds after that guy posted that youtube video of him using that loadout.
stingers need to be taken way down there. cuz if than 2 or 3 people have stingers flying in a jet is pointless cuz u cant do anything

oh okay, just because some guys using teamwork are killing you heaps it should be Nerf ed? that’s what makes for interesting combat, cause then you have to counter the 3 stingers. since there engines they probs wont have accurate weapons. so engage them from medium to long ranges with a tank/lmg/sniper rifle.
No way stinger should disable a jet in one shot.
Already, you play on a 64-players servers and there are many possibilities that you might don’t find even one with stinger… People got discouraged and very few carry a stinger… So, what they made right now it’s perfect!
Mines are super easy to take out, so that whole thing shouldn’t be an issue as long as you aren’t an idiot in vehicles. So that change weakens mines more.
Mortar will be pretty much useless now, as it is nigh impossible to kill a moving target with the current one, and it takes more than one hit anyway. But n00bs whining as usual when they haven’t used it makes for one less loadout choice for those that know what they are doing. I’ve yet to see someone maintain a decent SPM on a mortar, but who cares let’s nerf it!
Same with the handheld AA. All it needed was a range nerf or increased locking time. Now there is absolutely no point to waste the slot, as it won’t harm anything. (Look at the end of the Oman gameplay trailer if you want proof, they made the pilot fly into the ground so it looked like something happened).
That being said tho, most of the other changes are good. Not sure why they upped damage to the AA tank, as it is pretty fragile as it is.
Here’s hoping the stuttering issue/FPS drop will die in this patch. Otherwise, I’ll come back after a few more patches when hopefully things are going better.

Mine’s are not triggered by remote. Make’s sense that they work after death. IMO It should be 2 mins after death.
I think that you should be able to lay a max of four down, and every one after that takes away the first, then second, and so on. They should stay forever until rolled upon or destroyed, but a max of four from each player. I don’t use mines, but I always coax enemy jeeps into my friendly mines
The best would be to have a limit of 6 mines… like claymore mines! But they should stay permamently.
And how am I supposed to get my 12+ Anti Explosive Ribbons for destroying a minefield in one round?

stingers are already over powered against choppers and now flare reload times have increased which makes it virtually pointless to fly a choppers anything below 9000 ft or else well get shot down.

Can you imagine a Chopper with a good pilot and gunner? One with Stealth+Flares and the other Whatever+Flares… That Chopper is staying above the entire game. People got discouraged with stingers already and they switched to Rocket Launcher. Seriously, learn to fly air-vehicles and you’ll understand Stinger ain’t threat currently.

Soflam does make it hit the right spot for more damage. It’s called the top.
Still no “Q” key bug fix. Rebind comorose to another key and it still comes up when u press “Q”.

I can’t upvote this enough. They admitted 1 week after release that they acknowledged the Q-Key being hardbound is an issue and they STILL haven’t done anything about it. It would take a junior programmer 5 minutes to fix this. FIVE MINUTES!

The “s” key is hardbound to throttle down for jets as well; very annoying if you are a ESDF user like myself.

IRNV only works on short distances now? I wonder if anyone at DICE has actually looked through an IR scope. I doubt it because if they had they would have realized it works quite well over long distances.
They should nerf it by making the time it takes for you to scope/unscope longer, not by making it not work the way it’s supposed to.

Why do you think its a crutch? I used it to help spot the campers. For some reason, people just dont spot ! (PS3) There are maps it was very usefull, but now its bass ackwards. Works better in broad daylight but sh!t in the darker maps. Now that its nerfed and you get owned by a guy with a EOtech, you going to ask for that nerfed then?
Yes, the IRNV is over used, not over powered. But like anything else, people will eventually move on to a different scope because they will get bored.

I would love to see Air Radar and Below Radar being permanent upgrade? Don’t know if Below Radar upgrade is already in effect once you get it. But I’ve tried flying low but don’t make a difference still getting locked on.
It stops lock on from air to air missles after a few seconds in time. It isn’t really that effective, that is why its a permanent upgrade.

Yea, I agree completely. Infinite mines are more realistic and strategic. Plus, it is the tanker’s own damn fault if he keeps running into mines. It’s so easy to spot them so why make them limited?

Finally! The height limit was insane! You could probably only go about 100 in game metres high into the air, which was crazy! It caused a lot of stalling and crashes for many (according to forums).
