BF3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
There’s a lot of anticipation for the upcoming and first Battlefield 3 DLC/expansion, called Back to Karkand. While EA has teased us with several trailers and lots of screenshots, they’ve yet to confirm the release date for Back To Karkand. But according to a Sony page, the release date has finally been revealed.
Sony’s Asia PlayStation Store lists Battlefield 3 Back To Karkand with a release date on December 7, 2011. Since PlayStation 3 owners will get Back to Karkand (and all other DLC) one week earlier, that means that Back To Karkand will hit the PC and Xbox 360 platforms on December 14.

Lets hope that PC gamers get VOIP squad functionality in the BTK update. Or at least a comment from DICE on why it was removed and when we can expect it. I am sick of the generic response from DICE that “they’re aware of the issue”…
this isnt a patch, its an expansion pack, all you get with the expansion pack is the weapons, vehicles, and maps.
the patch is seperate.
I suspect all the people bitching about squad VOIP will be the first ones bitching when they realize how much work it is to constantly MUTE annoying people to the extent they just “oh please god we want the old system back.”

Yea because a mute button is harder than… Attempting to use the worthless Cammo Rose. Or chatting with 2 other people on Battlelog Chat and start a game and hope you can get into an Open squad. Or even better join a good server get on a good squad. Msg the squad that you are running a vent server, alt tab out of the game start vent, join the server, and pray that BF3 hasn’t crashed when you alt+tab back in, or that you haven’t been kicked from the server for going idle. STFU Truthslayer. VOIP has been in every online FPS since 2001. VOIP squad chat has been in the last 3 BF games and there is no excuse that arguably the most anticipated FPS this year has voice functionality removed. This is 2011 not 1999.
Hardly ever had a problem with tards on voip in bf2 the whole 2000 hours i played bf2, besides you could block them or just turn voip off.

They said they are working on putting squad voip back in, im personally happy with that, thats a hell of a lot better than what they said they would do for squad voip for bfbc2(they said and did zilch).
Meh as much as i love squad voip if Back to Karkand doesn’t include it thats ok i can handle its absence for a little bit longer.

I don’t understand the hating. Some fan boys out there may not be aware, but a large percentage of the BF3 PC community hasn’t been able to play since the patch. So, I agree, I think they should fix that before the DLC, or at least tell us when they plan on fixing it.

They’re in obvious denial..they obviously haven’t seen the crapload of complaint threads on the BF3 PC forums and the feedback for the patch with at least 10000 players reporting that the game is now more broken than it was.
Ya see, I know your gonna accuse me of fanboyism but I don’t have any major problems thankfully. It does crash once in a while, but from day one it’s been mostly plain sailing for me. this coming from someone that had merry hell with BC2 after the first patch and for many many weeks after.
So please define what is going wrong and what your spec is. Instead of on every single post about updates and DLC having a go at DICE, why don’t we have a look at your prob hmmm?

Nope, PS3 users still get early DLC.
EA tried to pull a fast one and say that since they give 1 week early on ps3 that the game wasnt going to be put out to us. problem is EA cancelled their promise the day of the launch i believe. hense the lawsuit, they were trying to be shady and in fact cost them in the end. the deals werent connected at all so the lawsuit states. long story short ps3 users get the game and a week early on dlc.
EA said that PS3 users will get DLC one week early in lieu of 1943. They are now getting 1943, they shouldn’t get DLC one week early, one or the other.
Who cares? can’t wait 7 days?

Yea. The KH 2002 only partially fills the void of a decent burst-fire gun. Mainly because the M16A4 is a joke.
I quite like the a4. Mainly due to the fact that is my fav gun, regardless of ingame functionality lol.

i know you can use btk weapons in main game,but can you use weapons from main game in btk maps?

no you have to punch everyone in the face to unlock the btk weapons then you use those but they transfer over to vanilla….DERP

Tuseday December 6th for PS3 in N.America and Tuseday December 13th for PC and Xbox 360 in N.america. they forgot the fact that europe and asia get their updates a day after N.America. We get it tuseday and they get it wednesday. thats why on the asian website they said December 7th
Oh damn! Ur right! Nonetheless its still less than two weeks away for us ps3 players and im soo happy to hear the release date. Myabe the next blog post will hopefully will be something on the battlelog app for iphone/ipod/ ipad/ mobile phones and maybe something on the famous jet patch which if my sources are correct, it be included in the big patch thats fixing all the minor details of the gameplay too.
