BF3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
A few weeks ago DICE revealed that Xbox 360 copies of Battlefield 3 will ship with low-res textures, while players will have the ability to install higher resolution textures on the Xbox 360 hard drive. Now it’s been confirmed that the install takes up 1.5 GB of disk space.
DICE’s Patrick Bach said in a recent interview that the Xbox 360 version is basically “standard definition” with the regular texture pack. The reason they need to ship with an optional install is that not all Xbox 360 consoles have a hard drive, so Microsoft requires all game installs to be optional. Bach pointed out that the high-res textures do make a big difference to Battlefield 3. He said,
“It does make a difference, yes, absolutely. The whole engine is based around streaming textures, streaming terrain and a lot of other content.”
The PlayStation 3 version has a similar feature that automatically installs high-res textures to the PS3 hard drive.

PS3 is significanly better and theres a big diffrence just watch ps3 version of the exit door on jimmy fallon gameplay show and watch the xbox 360 picture of it yeah ps3 wins
i actually managed to play on xbox 360, ps3 and pc. i dont know if its just for the beta or if my new tv is shit but i found the xbox version a lot better graphically than ps3, (my pc barely managed to play and i know other pcs are superior to consoles by far) the ps3 had worse graphics and i couldnt use the full screen of the tv like the xbox did.

ironically the high rez texture pack for consoles are medium texture settings for pc.

DICE is limiting vehicle quantity when a base catches their nearest checkpoint.

I think Dice had it planed to put out a graphically sub-par beta on purpose just so no one complains about graphics come launch.

I really don’t see what the big deal is [DICE]. By default, I install the games that I play the most to my HDD anyway, now that I have a 250gb Slim. When I had the Jasper Console, a used 120gb was $60. Inb4 “Well, some of us don’t $300 to spend on a new slim!!!” I understand that, however, it isn’t that hard to upgrade your HDD to the next size. As long as my Xbox doesn’t have a case of explosive diarrhea, and commit suicide when I play the game, I’ll be happy with the way the game looks, regardless. And besides, it’s 2011. I could really care less how the game “looks”, as long as it plays excellently.

No fanboy bullshit i swear to god lets all be honest i played beta on pc xbox360 and ps3 the fact is PC looked amazing and Xbox 360 looked good also but PS3 came near PC dont thumbs down this all pc players now ofc the pc version will be the best better graphic and 64 players (: btw i play on all 3 platforms anyway but to be honest my 5 year old ps3 almost reached the graphics on my pc (if i was played medium/low) but xbox 360 was like (very low) dont know why thats why i complain nowdays dice isnt fair against 360 players it didnt look that good infact detail was sooooooo much better on pc and ps3 also lightning was more dynamic before u hate on me go check it out the truth is battlefield 3 was made for the PC and another version specific made for PS3 then ported to xbox 360 and yeah truth is no company ever ports from ps3 to xbox 360 dice is the first one to do this and they used 100% of ps3s power and its cell processor which is awesome look here : http://www.slideshare.net/DICEStudio/spubased-deferred-shading-in-battlefield-3-for-playstation-3
anyways this isnt the xbox 360 hd version even the beta on xbox looked better than these pics on korean version of it so yeah the xbox version will still be better than this anyways ima be enjoying it on all 3 platforms and to be honest game felt sooo smooth on ps3 but screen tearing was more than the xbox version

Finally I can prove the ps3 version is so much better than xbox 360 look at the graphics of the picture when you see the exit door on xbox 360 and the detail on it and compare it to ps3 version watch the jimmy fallon show just search ps3 bf3 jimmy fallon and then you will see haha ps3 rulez.
the xbox 360 version will look the same as the ps3 version once they download the textures.

well idk about you console guys but i have pre-loaded the game and its just the single player only. I do get to play the SP campaign though.
does anyone know if this is going to be download from internet, or on a disc, will it be like the old PC CD games where you have to install several discs in a certain order?
