BF3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
The Battlefield 3 beta is currently seeing well over 100,000 players spread out across numerous game servers, all officially running the Operation Metro map with the Rush mode, with support of up to 32 players.
Unofficially, however, several servers have been popping up with the conquest version of Operation Metro, which supports up to 64 players. Not only that, some game servers have already been hacked to support up to 128 players — we’ve tested out Operation Metro on conquest with 64 and 128 players, and can confirm their existence, albeit, the 128 player server lagged considerably.
Since then, DICE has released a statement on Battlelog, informing users not to join any unofficial/hacked servers. Doing so can compromise your EA account and have it banned by EA (meaning you won’t have access to your other EA games, either).
This is just a taste of what PC players are going to have to deal with as far as hacking goes. Console players wont have to worry because unlike MW’s hack friendly servers, no BF game has ever been hacked on consoles. Enjoy getting banned PC ELITISTS

I’m playing on console myself. But I really prefer the PC. I think the controls in PC is better and the movement is better. And ofc there are more controls in PC
. And way better graphics, which ain’t really the most important thing at all. But… Good PC for gaming costs a lot I could say, but I’m saving money for a Good PC. Thx – No console vs PC war. Just telling my opinion.

I had to uninstall my 260M driver because I can’t play a certain game with it. Hopefully Nvidia aren’t keeping beta drivers.
It’s not hacking, the server files were leaked and posted on the internet. It’s like if you rented a server, the only thing is that server is at your home and you have control of it.
I love how PC elitists always trash consoles, completely oblivious to the fact that they have to deal with constant hackers and such. Whereas consoles despite the lower graphics, player count etc, are more straightforward and are hacked and screwed around with much less. And controllers are much easier to use IMO. But I guess haters gonna hate. Let the thumbs down commence!

I am glad these people are getting banned. There is no reason at all why people should be allowed to have an advantage in a game, whether it be cheats, hacks or getting access to things they are not supposed to. Good job EA, very good job.
Stop arguing over fuckin xbox or pc obviously there’s more pc players on here because were all on a computer right now. And it doesnt matter because the beta sucks. The game comes out in a month and the xbox beta is awful. I’m worried for the real game

I was super excited last month for the game, then i played the beta and how they decided to go through with the Origin requirement and the Battlelog. Now that they are banning people for playing on a modded server, just with the beta mind you, not even the full release, yeah, definitely a no buy. It will be fun, but overall more trouble than it’s worth and the fact that they have complete control over the servers makes me eek with paranoia.

Battlelog works fine. And its much better than DICE’s other attempts at server browsers.
The ability to have Battlelog up along with your clan website, Teamspeak, and or email without jumping completely out of the game is invaluable.
Don’t buy it if you don’t like it. For me its a faster easier process to play battlefield compared to the other previous BF titles.
Ok, fine EA doesn’t want hacked servers. Understandable. But why ban any player that randomly enters a hacked server by mistake? AND BAN ALL LEGIT GAMES BOUT FRM THAT ACCOUNT! I mean why should the player pay so badly for what could be a mistake? EA is giving more people reasons to pirate. I hope they reverse this decision. ban the rouge servers, why ban player? rather just ban them from bf3 servers till the full game is released. account stats will be reset anyway. The rest of the games shouldn’t be deactivated. that’s just stupid.
EA is hurting it’s own prospects. They’re ruining such a good game. And as a side note, i wish battlelog and the core server browser and menu was in-game, it’s a bit annoying to quit the game then relaunch it again just to change a server.

There is a “release date nag screen” on the new pre-load, need a coder to code a hack somebody will do it.
