BF3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
We’ve got a new batch of screenshots showing off the Battlelog service, which will be tightly integrated into Battlefield 3. Battlelog not only shows statistics and player profiles, but functions as a fully fledged social network, with status updates, friends, chat, and more. On top of that, there are separate sections for weapons, awards, and much more, as you can see in the screenshots. Enjoy

well the last 3 pictures are new,but nothing special. And I am not blaming anyone. I love DICE and battlefield,but if they wanna post some good news, post something completly new and excating.

According to DICE they are superior to MW3 since they “give us a lot more choices”. Yet they don’t give me the option of using an M4 as an Assault…

Choice is all well and good, but there always needs to be a balance between player choice and set structure, especially in an online multiplayer mode. Not every weapon can be offered to every class, so lines end up getting drawn by DICE to maintain the class structure.
Love the amount of weapon attachments in the 8th pic. Especially the optics.

i think they shouldnt sho the kdr, since that makes ppl wanna rage quit and camp
they should have a mode in bf3 where you could go by yourself and train with either dummies or ai (if that isnt too difficult) on a map
There’s campaign and co-op.
but in campaign and co op u cant customize any weapon and try it in the field, ur limited to certain weapons and battlefields

And you could clearly see that the PC Fault line gameplay had the M16 with an optical scope, but on PS3 he put a holographic scope.

BTW guys, what do you think of MoH campaign?
I know it’s really short but I just got it a week ago, played and finished it yesterday (started and done within 5 hours which might be long) and I kinda felt it was good and was wondering what you guys think.

any ideas as to how clans will be formed? Im hoping for a page in battlelog or something, where you can see stats and schedule matches between clans and shit.
can someone let me in on that?
It has been “confirmed” that they will have platoons, although I cannot say whether this is true or not. I assume that they will at least have a page to join platoons, and maybe where you could schedule wars…
Im sure someone who was in the alpha would be able to tell you that it wasnt available in that specific version, it was pretty simplistic in terms of checking your own stats (which were update the second the game finished) ,adding friends, and then setting your server search preferences…. basically everything you see there, plus a community forum full of whiney ungrateful sods
Hopefully ‘groups’ will be possible to create, hopefully its not as lame as Elite with ‘i like cheese’ facebook style groups where you join a billion cos your lame.
But that’d be the personal opinion of someone who tested it and turning a blind eye to any NDA, as long as theres features for everyone, and elements arent forced on anyone (unlikely – but say browser only server searching as some were whining about) then it shouldnt be a problem, use what you like, ignore what you dont like.
I am just as concerned as you are about the “platoons” or group feature in battlelog. Testing in alpha I didn’t find anything of the sort. It was brought up in some of the feedback forums by other testers like myself, but they didn’t get many replies.
I am sure they will add a group feature by launch. It would be silly if they didn’t and they know that teamwork and community over BF3 is very important to keeping people interested in their games.
I personally think that on the battlelog debut, you will be able to create and/or join a clan, create clan on clan skirmishes and track every-bodies statistics with possibly more features that most of us haven’t even thought of. But that’s just my opinion.

g36 should only be for bf2 veterans,which means its pc only content,even though i’m a mac user and ps3 player i think the g36 should ONLY BE for VETERANS of BF2 and make people link accounts.

There’s just…so much wrong with this. Ignoring the obvious, why the G36 of all things? If you’re gonna go for something as crazy as platform-specific, registration-specific weapons you might as well go for something insane like a…like a death ray or something.

What a ridiculous idea, who would even consider making one of the possibly most powerful weapons only available to people who will already be pro at the game? You obviously have a hard-on for the G36 and don’t want to share it. You probably keep a picture of a G36 under your bed next to a box of tissues, and pee a little every time you see a life-sized one. I bet you have an inflatable G36 somewhere with extended magazines and a suppressor attached… probably has a special camoflauge pattern on it too…
i still dont understand why an m4 is any less powerful than a M16… all shoot 5.56/.223…..has a shorter barrel thats about it… just make it less accurate(more kick) and bullets drop at a closer range
Unless they make bullet damage depend on muzzle velocity of bullets, they have to make the M4 have less DPS than M16.
well if they had the same damage and one was less accurate the less accurate one would never get used. Guns have different damage in games to balance it, otherwise damage wouldnt even be a factor in deciding which gun to use since most guns within the same class (snipers excluded) use the same or very similar ammunition.
In Picture 9, why is the Pecheng MG or whatever it is and the M416 under general? Hopefully they won’t be open to all classes. The last thing we need is recons with LMGs…..

It´s always so nice when testers under NDA (he even is shamed of this because of how he has blacked out hes name and even NDA part from pictures!!) leak stuff like this and then fan-site posts them for some hits. Yes, there was big banner how everything is under NDA, game AND site, what we were using. Shameful from tester and from this site!
