Scandinavian game magazine GameReactor has a nice video interview with Battlefield 3 producer Patrick Bach, taped at DICE offices in Sweden just before E3. The interview goes in depth on the singleplayer portion of Battlefield 3, and touches up on console performance and the history of Battlefield as well. Finally, it’s revealed that co-op will support 2 players and will feature exclusive maps and missions specifically tailored to the co-op experience.

BF3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Nothing really new. Although the co-op was interesting to hear about. Glad to hear it wont be like bc2 onslaught mode, that was kinda pointless.
In theory it was a good idea, but it was ruined by stupid and unfair AI. And their spawn locations…
cant wait to get this game, especially if my friends can run it on their PC…. i love cooperative modes:D too bad onslaught was not released for the pc.
im hoping my friends can run it too, fingers crossed lol
Good to know they’re doing something extra with co-op instead of just adding another player to the same campaign.
Not that I plan on wasting too much time on the campaign anyway…
CO-OP ie the spec ops missions on modern warfare 2 was the only thing i ever played on it… im just not a single player person, i hate linear scripted i just dont find the whole story thing on a game interesting.
This co-op anoucnement is the best thing for me ever………….
Now.. back to playing me verses the bots on BF2!!
Co-op Smo-Op
Can’t say im to interested in that, the bots never live up to the challenge and since your already online, yourself and your chum buddy might as well be playing the real meat of the game.
Only games that are unique pull co-op off well, for example l4d/cod nazi zombies/residentevil as for war shooters its a tired war-n out subject as it is for even single player.
Really they should make the game record their co-op game time as a stat, then they can have a good look at how much time people actually spent playing co-op/singleplayer vs playing multiplayer.
With regards to pre-order bonuses it seems that in Sweden buyers will receive unique soldier camo as a pre-order bonus. Whether this is exclusive to Sweden or not, or even true is debatable. Source: enterbf3.com has a post regarding this on the home page.
